A portion of piedmont North Carolina, including the following counties, Cabarrus and Mecklenburg. * WHEN... Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 744 PM EDT, High water conditions along Mallard Creek will slowly recede this evening as elevated flows work downstream into the Rocky River. Along Back Creek, continue to watch for flooding of low-lying areas near Pharr Mill and Stallings Roads. Further downstream, along the Rocky River, the river will be continue flooding low-lying areas, approaching roads such as Sequoia Hill and Mount Pleasant Roads. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood |
