Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of southwest Virginia, including the following county, Patrick.

* WHEN...
Until noon EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 850 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Goblintown Creek, Blackberry Creek, Jacks Creek, Koger Creek, Little Dan River, Little Sycamore Creek, Hookers Creek, Dan River, Ararat River, Bull Mountain Fork, Anglin Branch, Little Goblintown Creek and Ivy Creek.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
