Motorists should drive careful early this morning as fog will be dense in spots, especially along the higher elevations of southwest Virginia into northwest North Carolina. I-81 between Rural Retreat and Christiansburg, as well as I-77 between Wytheville and the North Carolina line could have areas of fog.
The fog should become less dense after 9am.
