A portion of central Virginia, including the following county, Amherst. * WHEN... Until 300 AM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 147 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Huff Creek, Davis Mill Creek, Mill Creek, Buffalo River, Long Branch, Muddy Branch, Little Piney River, Cox Branch and Brown Mountain Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
