At 506 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms and strong winds ahead of the storms along a line extending from near Kells Corner to near Semora. Movement was southeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Durham, Roanoke Rapids, Henderson, Oxford, Roxboro, Creedmoor, Louisburg, Warrenton, Wake Forest, and Butner.
