At 513 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southeast of Statesville, or 4 miles east of Troutman, moving north at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include...
Statesville, Troutman, Harmony, Lake Norman State Park, Mooresville, Lake Norman, Turnersburg, Olin, Union Grove, and Cool Springs.
