Several clusters of thunderstorms have produced heavy rain across parts of southeast West Virginia this afternoon. Additional thunderstorms are expected to result in urban and small stream flooding.

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...
A portion of southeast West Virginia, including the following counties, Greenbrier, Mercer and Summers.

* WHEN...
Until 945 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 542 PM EDT, Local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas have already caused minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following streams and drainages...
Beaver Branch, Blacklick Creek, Big Branch, Bluestone River, Beaver Creek, Big Creek, Big Clear Creek and Beech Run.
Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
