Canceled 7/1/25 4:38 PM Flood Advisory issued July 1 at 2:54PM EDT until July 1 at 4:45PM EDT by NWS Blacksburg VA * WHAT... Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE... A portion of northern Franklin County in west central Virginia. * WHEN... Until 445 PM EDT. * IMPACTS... Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 252 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - This includes the following streams and drainages... White Oak Creek, North Fork Gills Creek, Roanoke River, Maggodee Creek, Gills Creek and Back Creek. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area.
